i'm here at blogspot because it's a free place to store my work. i started writing on a commodore 64 in the late 80s, switched to pcs eventually and went through several windows operating systems and then, in '02, bought my first mac. throughout those years i spent too much time trying to convert data from one form to another so that i could access it on the latest computer. after the standard disc failures with insufficient backup which required the re-entry of hundreds of pages of hard copy files, i started saving stuff here, instead.
i first wrote in longhand and i remember the summer i switched to keyboarding. it changed my writing and it took quite awhile to adjust. same, too, with publishing work in digital form as opposed to hard copies. i'm used to it now though i miss the heft of a solid stack of printed-out writing.
so that's why i'm here at blogspot.
the reason i'm here on Planet Earth is not as clear. i stumble along and try to keep my head up and listen. and learn. lots of stumbling around. sometimes it's as clear as a bell and i swing along down the street as if there are no cares in the world; other times no such clarity exists and i live, simply, on faith.
